A Celebration of Food & Wine from the Tamar Valley

The Taste of the Tamar has been an annual event in Launceston for the past 3 years, that celebrates the premium cool climate wines and regional produce from the Tamar Valley, Tasmania.

Using the Tamar Valley Wine Route map as a guide, visitors can travel under the one roof from cellar door to local producer, tasting, purchasing, gathering and learning about our unique Tamar Valley

It is held over 2 days at the Hotel(s) Grand Chancellor in Launceston, and this year for the first time in Hobart. Visitors purchase an entry ticket that provides them with a souvenir tasting glass and tasting booklet. They are then free to wander through the venue, sampling the produce, and meeting the people behind the produce, face to face.

There will be master classes at each venue, which will showcase the Tamar Valley’s beautiful wines, and a Plumm Wine Glass Experience which will show the effect different glasses have on the same wine…the price of these classes will include a special set of Plumm glasses to use & then take home.

We hope you can join us for what promises to be 2 great weekends of food & wine from the Tamar!
